Penn and Philadelphia Police responded to a report of gun shots fired in the area of the 4300 block of Market Street. Upon arrival, police found that two individuals had been shot.
The suspect is described as an older Black male, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a brown jacket with a fur collar and blue pants, last seen heading south on 43rd Street from Market Street.
Penn and Philadelphia Police responded to a report of an unaffiliated gunshot victim in the 4000 block of Walnut Street, following a dispute between two patrons of the movie theater located there. The suspect left the area moments after the shooting and Philadelphia Police, with our assistance, is pursuing this investigation.
Robbery without Weapon | 4000 block of Walnut Street
Penn Police responded to a report of a robbery without weapon in the 4000 block of Walnut Street. Upon arrival, police discovered that a group of teenaged males had approached the complainant and demanded his jacket. The suspect is described as a teenaged Black male, 6’ tall, thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a surgical mask, accompanied by several other teenaged males.
They were last seen in the area of the 4000 block of Walnut Street.
This is a test of the UPennAlert Emergency Notification System, in conjunction with a campus-wide Shelter-in-Place Awareness Drill.
The University is conducting its annual UPennAlert Test today. This annual test satisfies the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Philadelphia Fire Code requirements.

Penn Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 3900 block of Walnut Street. Upon arrival, the complainant reported that a person had gained entry into the complainant’s room and then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a Black male, thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen in the 3900 block of Walnut Street.
