Bike to Work Day Highlights Safety and Health

DPS officers were joined by cycling enthusiasts from across Philadelphia to celebrate the joys of cycling and to raise awareness of bikes on the road by participating in Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 19. DPS police officers from our bike patrol rode along with bicyclists to City Hall and back as part of the festivities of the day. This event is a collaboration between the divisions of Business Services, Facilities and Real Estate and Public Safety as well as the Office of Student Health Service.

Penn Sponsored a Bike Resource table for the event, featuring information about the new Penn Bike Commuter Expense Reimbursement Program that launched in January, campus bike maps that show the locations of bike corrals and bike repair stations, and bike registration, along with give-aways and more!
